Ushers Ministry

Junior and Young Adult Ushers
The Junior and Young Adult Ushers serve as doorkeepers, lending spiritual dignity and order to the place of worship, encouraging visitors and making them feel welcomed by exhibiting Christ-like compassion.

The Junior and Young Adult Ushers seek to accomplish their goals by:

  • Training and membership in the Interdenominational Church Ushers Association (ICUA);
  • In-house training (learning the proper attitudes of ushers, signals and codes);
  • Encouraging children and youth to attend Sunday Church School and worship services;
  • Fellowshipping with other congregations; and
  • Providing opportunities to reach out and share with others who are less fortunate.
The Junior and Young Adult Ushers meet every first Saturday of the month at 11:00 a.m. Advisor: Sis. Iona Carter.

Senior Ushers
The Senior Ushers are Christians who are humble, with a spirit of meekness and chastity ever keeping in mind the instruction of our Lord as recorded in Matthew 11:29 – “Learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly of heart." The Senior Ushers are the forerunners and the doorkeepers in the house of God. They meet and greet the people with a pleasant smile, a warm welcome, and direct them to comfortable seats. The Ushers also see to it that perfect order is kept in and around the Church at all times during the service. Trinidad Senior Ushers’ Ministry is a member of the Interdenominational Church Ushers Association (ICUA).

The Ministry meets the first Saturday of every month at 3:00 p.m. in the Jackson Building.
